Editorial Standards
Editorial Policy
Our goal is to make complicated financial subjects understandable without making them simplistic.
Accuracy before certainty
We aim to distinguish verifiable facts from interpretation, opinion, estimates, and uncertainty. When reliable sources disagree, we try to represent that disagreement rather than manufacture certainty.
Primary and authoritative sources
Whenever practical, reporting relies on original documents, regulatory materials, company disclosures, government data, industry sources, and recognized subject-matter authorities.
Context matters
Numbers without context can mislead. We try to explain not only what a number says, but what it does not say and what assumptions may sit behind it.
Corrections
Material factual errors should be corrected when identified. Articles may also be updated when new information materially changes the context of a story.
Editorial independence
Advertising, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, or commercial relationships should not determine the conclusions of our editorial work. When a commercial relationship is relevant to a reader's understanding, it should be disclosed.
